If you're like me, you want to make sure your Golden baby is in the best health. To me, feeding them a good quality food is just the beginning. I also like to use natural remedies and essential oils in maintaining their health. I don't want my children to be exposed to harsh chemicals because of the adverse affects they may have on their health. Why should my Golden babies be any different? I am
beginning a series on care, health and
wellness of our Goldens, due to the many
questions people have asked. Questions
having to do with Grooming, Treats,
Vitamins & Supplements, Flea & Tick treatment, ear care, and many more. This first post will cover nutrition and supplements.
We all want to take care of our Goldens as best as possible. I'm very concerned about keeping my dogs in the best possible health.
I use good quality food and quality vitamins and supplements. Many of you have asked me about what I use, so I thought it may be good to share it with all of my owners.
For food, I prefer Nutro Ultra Large Breed Puppy or Purina Pro Plan Large Breed Puppy until their first birthday. Then, you can switch over to the Large Breed Adult Formulas. I purchase these at Petsmart or order them online from Amazon.com or Chewy.com, where I can often buy them at discounted rates.

The supplements that I love, love, love is NuVet Plus. It's an Immune System builder and I have noticed such a considerable difference in my dogs since switching over to it. It helps reduce the risk of and heals many problems, like Allergies, Itching, Hot Spots, Arthritis, Digestive Issues, Hair Loss, Ear Infections, etc.
Many of us give our families daily vitamins to maintain good health, why would we treat our Golden babies any different?
It's not just a vitamin, it's an immune system builder with a great balance of vitamins, minerals, omega fatty acids, amino acids and high-potency antioxidants.
I really like the difference I've seen in my dog's skin and coat...imagine how well it's working on the inside! The cost is $18 a month or $55 for 3 months.
